Also, the PC will not learn about the Order before they encounter them in the Hinterland.

The one thing I would suggest is to introduce Korgunard a few times to the PCs and get them to like the avangion. They should have a vested emotional interest in him more than just "he's a powerful NPC and a good guy." That's the one thing that was real weak the first time I ran the adventure. I corrected the second time (with a new group), by introducing Korgunard very early on and having the PCs genuinely like him by the time Dragon's Crown started.

Other than that, it's a pretty good adventure right out of the box; you'll have to tell us how it turns out.

They are already familiar with him since they saved him in Arcane shadow and in another scenario were Kornugard was trapped in the elemental plane of earth and the PC had to save him. The PC now live with Kornugard in the Dragon bowl.

Sounds like you're well-prepared, then. Running Dragon's Crown should be pretty good if they're actually living with the guy.

Dragon Crown is actually the only adventure I have ever run.(other than the one form the box set where they start in a caravan as slaves.) although not my first Dark sun campaign, it was one of my favorites as a DM.
As was mentioned before about Korgunard, I wish the PCs had known about him before and liked him more. I realized how great that would have been only when it was too late.
It also introduced the order to my PCs, which I liked, and gave me the chance to role play Hamanu for the first time with them. I love that guy.

My little adding into Dragon Crown was a side quest that turned major plot right after Cragon Crown ended. Before they had started DC, one of the PCs had found a weird obsidian orb gowing with such magical force it was blinding when he used detect magic on it. Later, another PC, while on his own found another. They never discovred how to use the powers behind them, but someone else did. A powerful defiler with three of those orbs and the knowledge of the Pcs and what they possessed. Unfortunately, I moved away before we could finish the last chapter in the story. The return of Kalid-Ma. Damn. It's been almost a year since I've played. For some reason, I can't seem to find any DnD books here in China.

It's been years since I ran this, or read it for that matter.

Issues:

Adventure assumes no teleport ability in party, despite their level (mid teens or something). Be aware or else don't give your PCs access to this stuff, whole encouters can really easily be missed.

Adventure also assumes Kornugard stays dead. However your PCs will likely be of the opinion that Kornugard is Athas' best hope and so you should be prepared for PCs to expend significant effort trying to bring Korny back. They may even decide the psionics thing can sit until they get good ol' Konry back on his feet.

The Order should be present from the beginning. If your villains remain effectively nameless, they have less emotional impact when they do eventually show up.

An unlimited supply of power points is kinda cool with the potential for way rorty combos. But I am certain you can figure those out for yourself.

Hamaun's goons have low magic gear. You may need to beef em up a bit if magic is more common in your game.

Remeber to rely on the natual arrogance of the teen-level PC. When you can lob a 15 dice fireball you expect 1st level commoners to kneel down at your feet, not be in fact disguised 6th level rogues with maxed pick pockets.

I actually had my PCs think that two members of the Order were in fact incarnations of Death who then proceeded to outright kill one PC without the other PCs interfering as it was 'their alotted time'. It was incredibly funny when the PCs finally realised they had been duped by the enemy. The looks on their faces was priceless.

Most importantly, don't spill wine on the maps. They weather it quite well, but still...
