One persons crap is another's collectible. Put it on eBay. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : KernOfGort Date : 02-22-08 06:55 PM Thread Title : Re: collectors item or crap? As a point of related interest (sort of), I was recently visiting my inlaws who are avid board gamers. I mean they have a "wall" of board games. I noticed that there were two dusty but fairly pristine boxes in one stack. I took a look and it was original D&D boxes...never even played. Pages were still crisp and they still had the original dice in the box... I should ask them for the 2 boxes sometime...just for curiosity... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Shiftkitty Date : 02-22-08 07:13 PM Thread Title : Re: collectors item or crap?        That would be sooooo sweet to have! I say go ahead and ask. Explain that you play the game and would be interested in them. Offer to barter for yard work, house work, or anything but the $$$ unless they say something insane like "You can have 'em both for 20$." When you say "original", are you talking the Arneson set with the simulated wood box? (Not that it would matter to me. Oh, to have one of the older ones in museum condition!) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : KernOfGort Date : 02-22-08 07:24 PM Thread Title : Re: collectors item or crap? You know...I'm not totally sure...no wood box or anything...but it did look like the old original box art...i think it had the elf as the fighter-mage (I got a chance to quickly look through it, but they are somewhat protective of their stuff). They're visiting in April. I should ask them to bring them along...my friends would freak if they saw the box sets. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:22 AM.
