The first time i played DS was with a cheap compouter game called wake of the ravager in 96, however it got me hooked, and since I started playing table top I have been trying to find information on DS, With athas.org and the Dragon and Dungeon mags. I have all the info i need to run a DS game, but I don't know that much about the world itself, I know all the basics I would say and enough to give a basic feel to the game, but what i really want to know is things like what is the blue age, the green age, the brown tide, and who is Rajaat(spelling?) and when did the world fall into the situation it is in now.....if anyone can inform me or point me in the right direction for places that i might be able to download or buy these things and maybe a list of what things will give me hints on the flavor of DS more, I would be very greatful

The Wanderer's Journal from the 2e Revised Campaign Box Set would be your best bet.

The original one from the first boxed set is great too. It isn't as expansive as the revised one, but gives alot more flavor and detail to the Tablelands and isn't corrupted by the events of the novels.

At this point Ebay would probably be your best bet, or friendly gaming stores who may still have some 2e books on the shelves.

Try half.com, I bought several original, brand new adventures there.

You can buy all AD&D Dark Sun products at RPG Now! for about 5$US, in PDF format. It's not the same as having a book in your hands, but at least you'd have the information you need.
