Is there some form of hatred in the eyes of the DL creaters when it comes to Elves? I had this random thought today, while reading through the DMG II. For some reason I thought of all the poor elven people during all those long years on Krynn. Seperated from one another in a fewd, conquered by dragons, destroyed by dragons and man, conquered by Minotaurs, betraying their own people, the list just keeps going. I know there is a fair amount of history in the other races as well, but for the elves it just always seems to be negative and never positive. Where is all the good things happening to the elven nations?

Hey, its not a rant, its a thought, afterall I don't like elves very much at all. I think that came from most of my old DL games being 90% elven, but yet I wonder, when this world is moved in a new direction by the writers and creaters, do they purposley try to screw the elves?

Yep. The elves are definitely the No1 target for authors in DL.

The elves, especially in the last century or so, do it to themselves.

At its most basic level, and mainly due in part to the fact that elves have such long lifespans, the various elven races of Ansalon greatly reflect the changing nature and impact of the historical events on the continent -- that is, morseso than most other races.
