The tales of the Deer Women differs in each telling. To some she is a temptress luring the innocent to their dooms, to others she is a blessing sent by the Immortals. In reality she is something far worse. The deer women are unseelie fey, eldritch creatures that resemble young attractive Atruaghin women, except for their legs, which resemble that of deer. They like to seduce young Atruaghin men, trick them into committing horrible crimes and then arranging their deaths. They play off the emotions of the vulnerable, all for their sadistic pleasure.

Deer Women are a constant threat, though they aren't numerous they are extremely effective in their tactics. They stalk stragglers on the outskirts of Atruaghin villages, trying to seduce men and convince them to perform acts of chaos against their own people. They use their natural beauty and charm, convincing the braves to perform the acts of their own free will. Charmed victims provide no sport for the deer woman.

Deer women only prey on men, children seem to automatically detect their evil nature and women automatically find them suspicious. Because their legs are a dead giveaway, deer women will always be found in a long dress in the traditional Elk Clan style. They are treated as having a Charisma of 18 against men, with a persuasion skill of 20. Against women and children their charisma drops to 5. They cannot be hurt except with magic or obsidian weapons. She loses her immunity if her legs are exposed. If a man fails to resist the deer woman's persuasion check, he is treated as charmed until the death of the deer woman, or if he ever sees the deer woman's legs.
