#1katana_oneJul 30, 2005 11:02:00 | Anyone know of a good resource for deck plans scaled for use with miniatures? I need something to represent an Alphatian galleon (the Typsy Tyrant from Wrath of the Immortals). Preferably in color with a 1-inch grid overlay. I'd like to print it out poster-size in color for use in upcoming game sessions, now that the players in my game are in command of the skyship. |

#3katana_oneJul 30, 2005 17:51:58 | Yeah, I was looking at the Spelljammer sites earlier today and didn't find what I was looking for. I did find a Spelljammer galleon that might work, but I was thinking the Alphatian skyships stationed at Haldemar in the Hollow World were a bit smaller. It was in black and white, and was merely a scan of one of the maps from the Spelljammer set. I was actually hoping that somebody might have one in full color and scaled for use with miniatures. With programs like Dunjinni and Campaign Cartographer out there, I figure there must be somebody who has made deck plans and posted them for others to use. |

Alternatively you've got the Alphatian Man-o-war deckplans in Champions of Mystara, as well as Alphatian Yacht, if you think that might be helpful ;) Finally, you could simply HAND DRAW a map based on your needs. It takes significantly less time than finding one that does, believe me :embarrass |

#6katana_oneAug 01, 2005 12:25:08 | My advice: USE the GALLEON from SPelljammer Already working on re-drawing the map in Adobe Illustrator (even the best scan I've found of the Galleon from Spelljammer was not suitable for enlargement). I hope I have time to get it done before the next session. I'd also like to create it in color, but black and white will do in a pinch. These may be of some use. Thanks! Those are some nice maps. Not really the same style as the Alphatian vessels, but I might be able to use it at some other time. I only wish they had presevered the vector art in the PDF file - as it is, it has been rasterized, making any editing somewhat more difficult. |
