#1PennarinAug 03, 2005 18:44:25 | Hi everyone While you're browsing the boards and looking at old threads, could you put in your favorites any thread you think might be useful for people on these boards? Later on, just copy/paste the links into the Archive thread and I'll see if I can put it in there. For example, if someone can find the many stories that Greyorm wrote for the boards (the tale of a far future Athas overtaken by ice and snow, or that vision of the Black as a plane of pseudo-realities) I'd be great! Also, all those campaign expansions: the Far Lands, the Brown Lands, etc. Thanks! |

#4jon_oracle_of_athasAug 04, 2005 9:22:39 | It would definitely help if Flip and I had some permissions such as stickying threads on the DS boards. Maybe there is someone we can take this up with at Wizards. That way we wouldn't have to call into the night for the Wiz-o's every time we needed something done - and their activity level is somewhat sporadic. No offense to the Wiz-o's, but we only monitor one forum - whereas they are occupied with all the other forums as well. It's a simple matter of resource allocation. Since we only monitor this forum, we would be able to provide better service to the DS community if we were given some admin rights. That should be in Wizards' interest. |
#5flipAug 04, 2005 10:49:48 | I used to have more admin rights, before they switched / upgraded the forum software. At this point, what I can do (basically) is create a poll, and close/lock my own threads. Basically, they don't want to give us full rights on the boards, and they havn't managed to hack the code enough to extract the certain rights they want to give us out and figure out how to have them only apply to a single forum ... Or something like that. I havn't heard anything on this in a while, though I've made noise about it from time to time. |
