I'm getting a concurrent thread going through different worlds boards. The others can be found in Dragonlance and Dark Sun. Post your list of which of the new Minis are appropriate for Ravenloft here.

I have 20 years of collected metal minis, six cases full, in my collection, from companies like Ral Partha, Reaper, Grenadier, and others, and have never felt a need to pick up the plastic minis from WotC. The only two that I own are the Rakshasa and Lord Soth. I like the first, but Soth is a dreadful sculpt, they made him a 'pinhead'; his head is strongly disproportionally smaller than the rest of his body.

There's a fairly neat list of Ravenloft-appropriate miniatures here.

Looks like that list needs to be updated for anything possibly useable from the Aberrations, Deathknell, and Angelfire sets... ;)

The ones that catch my eye immediately are Iron Cobra, Flesh Golem, Mind Flayer Telepath, Mongrelfolk, Sahuagin Ranger, and Gnoll Skeleton from Abberations, Death Knight, Timber Wolf, Grim Necromancer, Aspect of Nerull, Mummy Lord, Skeletal Dwarf, Spectre, Spellstiched Hobgoblin, Bloodhulk Fighter, Boneclaw, Burning Skeleton, Deathlock, Ravenous Vampire, Vampire Spawn, and Zombie White Dragon from Deathknell, also Werebear, Ghaele Eladrin, Weretiger, Direguard, Ghostly Consort, and Skeletal Archer from Angelfire. Others may see use for more of the figures in these sets, I may actually have to get that weretiger

I'll also add the dolgrym and the Deathlock from Deathknell as well. More as I browse the galleries further.

Jim: pity they couldn't base the new Rakshasa on the excellent Partha sculpt for the AD&D 2nd edition line...

Well, that was easy, I picked up both the Angelfire weretiger & the werebear on Ebay today for only 50 cents each.
Brandi, I'm always looking for non-tiger-headed rakshasas, I have various old Grenadier minis with crocodile & elephant heads. What I still need to find is their old 'rhinshasa', the rhino-headed one.

I just liked that 2nd ed tiger rakshasa because he was based off a Tony DiTerlizzi design and is very fancy (he's gonna be a stone ***** to paint, too).

I haven't seen the rhino man, but there was an excellent elephant warrior released by Reaper Minis as a charity piece in the wake of the tsunami. I don't think they're producing it now but it may turn up in auctions or in a store's inventory...

I have it.

Even though they are far to expensive, the GW Vampire Counts stuff is quite decent...

That and they're the only good-quality undead minies (apart from WotC) that I can get my hands on.
