#3wolffenjugend_dupAug 20, 2005 16:09:58 | It's a metal from the DMG. |
#4borrisAug 20, 2005 17:27:57 | There's no mithral on Krynn as far as I know, but there's a very similar thing called dragonmetal. A shield, piece of armor, or miscellaneous object made of dragonmetal has exactly the same stats and price as one made of mithril. The effects are quite different on weapons, though. Check the DragonLance Campaign Settign for more information. |
#5zombiegleemaxAug 20, 2005 19:53:21 | Ah, I'm a huge fan of the novels, and my book is still shipping to my house. Didn't know if dragonmetal would be better or worse than mithril. Going to play a knight of solamnia. |
#6ferratusAug 20, 2005 21:36:34 | I designed the rules for dragonmetal in the Dragonlance Campaign Setting, and they aren't very good. You're better off just to make your dragonlances out of mithril. |

If you don't like the rules you made, elighten us, what changes would you like to have seen to the metal? Personally I have always allowed Mithral on DL, even though I know its a non-exsistant metal, its just easier not to argue. :D |

Cheers, Cam |

In order to keep mithral weapons and armor rare, why not say that mines for it only existed in the areas of Qualinesti and Silvanesti. I just prefer to say that elven chain is just the epitome of elven metal craftsmanship, making normal steel act as if it were dragonmetal. |
