I was going through giants because I am making me some athasian giant skeletons, and I think I noticed mistakes when it comes to rock throwing. Lets start with the "typical" Beasthead BAB +11 Dex 12 giving it +1 ranged attacks Huge Size giving it -2 to attacks. No applicable feats for rock throwing, so it should be +10. Now, in the "Full Attack" section, it lists a rock as +10, but in the "attack" section it has it as +11. Unless there is a source for that extra +1 that I am missing, it should be +10 Crag Giant BAB +12 Dex 13 (+1) Huge (-2) Weapon Focus: Rock (+1) Total +12, listed in "attack" and "Full Attack" as +13. Again, unless I am missing an extra +1 from some source, and if so, I would please like to know where so I can adjust my skeletons appropriately Desert Giant BAB +10 Dex 15 (+2) Huge (-2) No applicable feats, so Total +10, listed in Attack and Full Attack as +11 Plains Giant BAB +12 Dex 13 (+1) Huge (-2) WF: Rock (+1) Total +12, listed in both attack sections as +13 Now, the reason I am making skeleton giants? I am running a modified Sity by the Silt Sea campaign, and Dregoths Orb of zombie creation is also causing things that Die in a large vicinity to come back as skeletons, as long as they have died recently. So it won't cause any graveyards in Cromlin or whatnot to start bursting full of skeletons and such, but when Giants (or any other critters) fall dead Near Giustenal (as far away as Cromlin and the neighboring areas of the Silt Sea) they come back rather quickly as skeletons, their flesh just kind of sloughing off the bone as they reanimate. Only those taken to the orb are brought back as zombies. Anyway, thanks in advance if anyone can come up with the source for that extra +1 that all the giants get in rock throwing. |
#2bengeldornAug 21, 2005 12:16:09 | The +1 comes from the Special Attack Rock throwing . The Description for this ability is on page 53 (p.58 of the document). I neither know, why the beasthead giant has different attack bonuses for Attack and Full Attack, mabye there is an error, but the others seem to be fine. |

But that explains where the extra +1 comes from. Thanks for pointing that out, I dunno know how long I might have gone without noticing that. |
