The Living Greyhawk Web site hosts a link to each region and meta-reagin in the campaign. Each region has a gazetteer or some other page that details the development of the region since the campaign's inception, as well as discusses the particular region's history. I recommend browsing Living Greyhawk regions to get started. Here is the link: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/region/regionsystem Also check out Living Greyhawk's other articles: Places of Mystery, Power Groups and Campaign News. Happy gaming. |

Try looking up the name of a region, and the Intarweb will guide you. For example, yesterday I wanted to read about Nyrond and behold! An entire gazetteer! Also, Canonfire is a good source, although all the conflicting views there may be somewhat confusing for a beginner. And you can always make stuff up. And yes, Jason Zavoda, Planescape did connect the various settings (although Oerth was the only material planar world in Dead Gods, others appeared in other adventures). |

#8maldinAug 29, 2005 13:21:20 | ...Each region has a gazetteer ....I recommend browsing Living Greyhawk regions to get started. Here is the link: Although, to say that some triad sites are "patchy", is an understatement. For example, whats with the Highfolk site? They used to have all sorts of stuff, including a gazetteer. Right now there is nothing but a login. That would seem to run against the "open" nature that LG is supposed to represent. For lots of info, visit the Canonfire! site and the Greyhawk Adventures Webring. Denis, aka "Maldin" =========================== Maldin's Greyhawk http://melkot.com |
#9lord_crymsonAug 30, 2005 4:18:28 | Dark Sun was originally meant not to be connected to other D&D settings at all. It was clearly stated that it was a totally different multiverse, we have different planes, and even a different Githyanki citadel and queen. But then like they did with Sembia in FR they decided it was a good idea to have half-giants and thri-kreen on Sigil, and therefore the rest of the cmapign worlds. Sigh... |
