#1travis_uiAug 31, 2005 3:03:51 | I just noticed something as I was reading through the dragon metamorphosis epic spells on the athas.org site that I guess I never caught before...why are the strength and constitution bonuses that the character recieves during the course of dragon metamorphosis enhancement bonuses? Wouldn't they more appropriately be racial bonuses since they are the result of physical changes that the characters is undergoing as s/he evolves from a mere human mortal to an immortal and devastatingly powerful dragon? It seems silly...bordering on stupid...to have bonuses that are clearly a part of the physical growth and development of the character be categorized in such a way so as to prevent actual magical enhancement as through spells or items. Or am I just being greedy? |

A skeletal-looking guy could gain enhancement bonuses and become ever more strong, even though his arms are as thin as twigs. In this case a dragon's muscles, and the very frame of his body, increases in density and size, as such the bonuses should be racial. |
