Mystaran Crystal Sphere?

Sep 23, 2005 20:48:52 Just out of curiosity, was a Mystaran Crystal Sphere mentioned in any Spelljammer products? I seem to recall that it was somewhere, but I can't remember where.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sep 24, 2005 0:50:46 I don't recall any specific mention of MYSTARA in SJ material -- exchanges between the spheres being one of the problems with the notion of Mystaraspace.

Sep 25, 2005 14:03:03 there was never any mention of Mystara in Spelljammer. The Spelljammer line was discontinued the year before Mystara was converted from OD&D to AD&D 2nd edition (1994).

True; however, there is a couple of mentions of Spelljammer in Mystara's line (Champions of Mystara or somesuch box, mainly).

Also, two articles in Dragon dealt with combining OD&D and spelljammer. However, fan based material does a much better job at combining the two settings while preserving their individual special features than any of the official material did. We also had some good discussions on the topic over here as I recall.
