I am going to let the party level up a bit then do the adventure in the back of the Dragonlance Campaign Setting and then have them move onto Solace but I need help with this adventure. Currently the party is 2 rangers,1 fighter, 1 rouge, 1 wizard, and 2 undecided (seeing as i havent started the campaign yet) all at level 1. This is going to be my first time DM'ing so i need help bad. |

This is going to be my first time DM'ing so i need help bad. Some more info would be nice. What do you need help with? Forming you party 1) The players know each other. Talk to you players and decide on a party-based backstory. 2) They are strangers but an event or person draws them together. Think of an event or person. I'd go with a town festival, or a meeting place (like the tavern or inn). The festival is usually good because is a gathering place or sorts. A villian like a thief can steal an item off the mayor who offers a reward. of a major villian can threaten the villiage and volunteers are needed to get an item that will protect them. A festival will also have games and contests. you can always have a log rolling contest. winning with a dexterity check will earn you XP or something. Setting a quest 1) make a riddle or puzzle. To level them up, I usually go with puzzle game. if the players figure out the puzzle, reward them with Story/Roleplaying XP for their characters. 2) Explore a place. you might want to do a simple game about finding an item. for example, they have to do a house to house search for someone or something. 3) Defeat a person. It could be a bully. or a thief trying to get away. Moving to the DLCS. part of their reward involves them getting to or being in Pashin. Weldon |
