#1yellowdingoSep 25, 2005 7:19:43 | Recent Documentary on the Peasure Barges of Emperor Caligula. Seventy meters in length, multi-beam flat bottomed vessels, Sauna, Central heating, Diverse pleasures, degenerate and entertaining. One a Modern Town house and the other a dedicated temple to the sex and death cult of Diana constructed Aboard in stone and bronze, with numerous technological advances including modern (admiralty) anchors, metal roofing tiles, Piston Bilge pumps, Fine Bronze works. It is thought that he was overthrown because he had squandered much of the wealth of the empire on these wonders amongst many and that they were deliberatly sunk to the bottom of Lake Nime by those who overthrew him. Consider if you will the idea that lost somewhere in the bottrom of the Harbor of Thyatis is the ruins of some emperor's Pleasure Barge or Worse still, a flying Barge that exemplifies the lost skills of an early empire. Any thoughts on the existance of an Imperial Pleasure Barge for the Thyatian Empire? Perhaps the secrets to its construction lay in some forgotton manuscript in the Imperial Archives. |
