#1SysaneSep 26, 2005 12:50:34 | Are there any plans to release stats for the Betrayer with levels in Cleric of Chemosh (can't remember the name) PrC from HOotS. I plan on doing a conversion if no on else has already done so. |

I wrote the necrotheurge as a sort of clerical answer to the necromancer wizard archetype - somebody who was more cerebral than physical, preferred to hang around graveyards and mortuaries, etc. The Betrayer fits the role of "former cleric of good god that turns to darkness", and is much more martial. That being said, the necrotheurge does get a lot of interesting undead-related class abilities which would benefit a lich cleric. It's up to you, really. The prestige classes in Holy Orders aren't suited for all devoted followers of the god they're attached to. Many clerics of Chemosh would never become necrotheurges, just as many clerics of Mishakal don't become healing hands. In this case, the Betrayer's role in the adventure won't suffer for being rewritten somewhat, but he's not the best candidate for this prestige class. Cheers, Cam |

Understood, but I think the Betrayer would have a few levels in the PrC IMO. At least in the way I interpret him. |

I don't really think it fits, the flavor of the Betrayer is not quite the same. I would see him more as a Zealout than a Necrotheurge, but the way he is written is fine with me. One way or the other, I think its a battle that will really test the divine might of my PCs. |
