Just out of curiosity, has anyone played or run campaigns with significant differences between characters from countries like Yeomanry or Keoland? It's occured to me that they all blend together to me. Not a bad thing, but maybe some flavor is called for? The political backgrounds between regions and countries always differ but I don't think of characters from these places as having a distinctive culture like the Frost Barbarians or something, I tend to think of them all as generic characters.

Absolutely. Some flavor can be derived from comparing the various nations to real-world nations (for example, Bissel=Northern England, Geoff=Wales, Perrenland=Switzerland, Blackmoor=Ukraine, Yeomanry=Mexico, Urnst=Germany, Ahlissa=Byzantium), by drawing flavor from non-Greyhawk fantasy novels and the like, and by looking at the listed alignments and racial makeups of the countries.
