#1zombiegleemaxOct 15, 2005 23:53:50 | http://pubs.usgs.gov/fs/2005/3024/ i read that,, it's about yellowstone in the states. anyway, i was thinking, could dragon's bowl be a formed caldera, and a volcano is active beneath it? on that note, what are peoples' thoughts on the history behind the dragon's bowl depression? |

#3PennarinOct 16, 2005 20:13:15 | I'm not wanting an active volcano/caldera system smack in the middle of the the Tablelands...but I'm all for an extinct volcano/caldera that has hot springs and stuff. The website does have an evocative picture (look at the second one by scrolling down): the wall of the caldera. It looks like what I imagine the Bowl's walls look like. As for the history of the Bowl's depression, its obviously of geological nature since nothing points to magic-use in the past, no legends perdure, besides the myth of the Dragon's birth. |
