I have the castle spulzeer FR module, but I could never find the followup to it, The Ravenloft module "The Forgotten Terror". Could someone be so kind as to let me know what happens in the sequel?

The heroes enter a 12 sided gem, the one on the dagger.

The RL domain is a small pocket plane, where all 12 facets of the gem are one aspect of Chardath's ill mind. It's high fantasy for most RL fans (one facet is a fight club-like arena, a dream ubberdragon, etc.).

There are some good ideas in it, but it's not very exciting overall.

Chardath is the domain lord, but the soul of the weapon is also trying to influence the PCs.

So, would you say it's worth spending money for? - After all, CS isn't such a famous module... (Read and found it somewhat confusing.)

Nope... The followup is as confusing and basically uninteresting... (that is IMHO).

If you have something else on your list to hunt on ebay, or to buy as PDF, you should do it before trying hard to find the Forgotten Terror.

Thank you!

I'll really look to get some other, better books first, then. :D There are so much Ravenloftian treasures I have to look for first, and the latest free VRG only managed to make me hungry for more... *Bleak House*, *Castle Forlorn*, *A light in the Bellfry*...

Indeed!

By the way you can also erase A Light In the Belfry from your list IMHO, it's one of the worst in design: the CD makes it so linear, the PC will feel like eating pop corn and watching a movie.

See, I disagree with both. ALITB might be linear, but so are most dungeon crawls. ALITB makes a nice side adventure if you run an intrigue heavy campaign. Also, I plan to make the mirror when I run it, out of cardboard and tin foil, just to give it that extra pazazz.

And TFT is an OK adventure, especially if combined with Prof. Arcanus from CotN:W. When Gundar rises, have him steal the dagger and kill the party with it. That way, you can run TFT and not run CS.

Unfortunately, I have to second Gotten's sentiments. Not that I don't usually agree with Gotten's ideas, but I had been very hopeful for Forgotten Terror when it came out. At the time I was running a Forgotten Realms campaign that experienced numerous "Weekends in Hell." I enjoyed Castle Spulzeer, but felt very let down by the second portion.

And, while the Light in the Belfry was hurt by its CD, I know another DM who swears that it worked among his best adventures in ten years once he scrapped that disc and ran it like a traditional adventure. Personally, I haven't had a chance to run it yet, but I have liked what I've seen.

While I'd agree that the CD can be cheesy, our group had a great time with "Light in the Belfry." EVEN with the disk. Of course, we had a great role-playing group (and a great DM) to work with, so I imagine that helped. It was a nice change of pace adventure from the overriding arc of the _Grand Conjunction_ modules.

Thank you.

Ah, I doubt that I would ever come to use this for a game. But, since it's set in Arkandale, if I am not mistaken, I might use it for some nice borrowings for my other games or even just add it too my collection... A full Ravenloft collection my goal is.

Actually, A Light in the Belfry's set in its own domain, Avonleigh, which is considered part of the Shadowborn Cluster these days.

Arrgh! I meant... I meant... Avonleigh! I am bit too focused on my SB game at the moment, it seems!

Thank you for correcting my error, Brandi!
