#1savant_warlord13Nov 02, 2005 16:10:42 | This Prestige class is a modified version of the illithid hunter prestige class presented in the Expanded Psionics Handbook. When ever I make my own DnD material, I try to just modify existing material. This helps keep it balanced, which is especially important to me since I am terrible at judging how powerful things are. Anyway, I created this prestige class for use with my character. He is a half-giant psychic warrior. In the campaign, the Neogi bred Half-Giants to be powerful slaves (hence the giant blood) without being to difficult to control or kill. The human blood also makes them breed faster than giants. However, after generations of inbreeding, a passive gene present in one of the humans that the Neogi started with surfaced in nearly all Half-Giants. This gene gave the Half-Giants their latent psionic ability and allowed many of them to escape their Neogi Masters. In some Half-Giants, the constant dominating force of the Neogi caused mutation that made them more like their aberration masters. Now, many of the Half-Giants that have the aberration-mutated genes take up the role of the Aberrant Emancipator. They seek to free all slaves from their masters, but specialize in freeing them from aberrations due to the abundance of aberration races that take slaves and the terrible mistreatment they so often subject their slaves to. In their constant contact with aberrations, they become even more like aberrations than their genes dictate. Aberrant Emancipator Hit Die: d8 Requirements Base Attack Bonus: +5 Skill: Knowledge (Dungeoneering) 4 ranks Feats: Track, 2 Aberrant feats Psionics: Power point reserve of at least 10 power points Special: Must have killed a slaver aberration (Illithid, Tsochar, Neogi, Aboleth, etc.) Class Skills: Bluff, Concentration, Knowledge (Dungeoneering), Listen, Psicraft, Sense Motive, Spot, Survival Skill points at Each Level: 2+ Int Modifier Class Features Powers Known: as existing manifesting class + Aberrant Emancipator level Favored Enemy (Aberrations) (Ex): +2, plus an additional 2 every third level thereafter Thrall sense (Su): sense presence of creatures under the effects of compulsions within 60 ft Inedible (Su): starting at 2nd level, anything attempting to eat/ swallow the Aberrant Emancipator in whole or in part must succeed at a Will Save (DC 15 + AE class level) or become disinclined to do so for 24 hours thereafter Lucid Buffer (Ex): at 3rd level, the AE gains a +4 bonus on saves to resist compulsions and mind affecting effects Cerebral Blind (Su): upon reaching 6th level, an AE becomes immune to all effects that reveal location Breach Power Resistance (Su): an AE of 8th level or higher enhance his weapon to breach power resistance. And I thought it was illithids. Your going to ruin my next adventure if it was Neogi. |

#7zombiegleemaxNov 09, 2005 13:14:28 | Your not the DM! |
#8savant_warlord13Nov 09, 2005 18:52:32 | I'm stating the facts, it was my idea for the background of my character, so my DM incorporated it into the campaign. Anyway, it would be extremely easy for you to change this slightly to fit into your campaign |
