With the Advent of Heroes of Horror, the current lack of support of the Ravenloft Campaign setting, etc . . . I've been inclined to "Dust off" one of my very old campaign ideas that got scrapped when Ravenloft had its all-too brief conversion to 3.5 and support under White-Wolf....

I was going to originally run this in the backdrop of my 2nd Ed "Apocalypse: Wrath of the Endbringers" Campaign. (Yes I used the term before Hecatomb came out) In it, I was going to string together "Return to the Tomb of Horrors" "The Rod of Seven Parts" "Great Modron March"/"Dead Gods" "Die Vecna Die" "Queen of the Demonweb Pits" (Revised and updated/Upgraded using the Diablo II: The Awakening supplement), and various other Planescape & Setting Specific supplements, Finally culminating with "The Apocalypse Stone". The Goal was to basically have the Very Cosmology of the AD&D Universe go through a series of upsets where all the Planes and Campaign Settings were going to be affected. Think of it more as a meta-Campaign Story-Arch that would affect all of my games, everywhere and be inherently tied to the same source overall. This would encompass several 'net supplements as well . . .

Well in the Aftermath, when the Dust was clearing I was going to, if not Dissolve the Domains of Dread, have them start "leaking" into the "Normal" campaigns . . . . for instance, what if Barovia appeared just outside of Cormyr's Southern Borders, replacing what was there? How would Solamnia React if suddenly Sithicus was to 'pop into existence where Dargaard and its surrounds used to be?

What do you all think? Any suggestions/advice/reactions?

Heck I'll even take flame as long as it's constructive. I'm well aware this idea is completely nuts. . . . but I think it would make for a truly Great High Level game . . .

It's certainly ambitious, I'll give you that. And it would make for good epic-level play. I am however curious to see how you would pull it off

One of the more problematic aspects of this leaking would be that the gods of the respective campaign world almost certainly take action in some way. The consequenses of this could be very hard to determine.

Apparently there's a cult called the Six-Fingered Hand in Gothic Earth, mentioned in the RPGA's Living Death campaign and the d20 Menace Manual, who believed the only way to save the world from the Red Death was to destroy it.

I thought perhaps the group could be actually guided by Grazā€™zt (who of course has six-fingered hands), who intends to destroy Gothic Earth and Ravenloft both and drag both world and plane into the Abyss. He has existed since the days of the pharaohs and considers the Red Death and the Dark Powers to be his rivals.
