If it's Darklords you're talking about too then there are plenty of examples like the infamous Count Strahd Von Zavorich (CR 24) going up to Gwydion the Sorcerer-Fiend (CR 40).
Also, the fantastic Green Giant has done absolutely loads of 3e write-ups of the majority of the unstatted characters, both NPC and Darklord. These are on 2 threads on this board called Ravenloft Darklords and Ravenloft NPC'S (funny that).

Note that these two NPCs are "broken". Estiban lacks the requisite feats to qualify for the Highway Rider PrC, and Jander doesn't have his Fighter bonus feats. Use Champions of Dorkness at your own risk.
But Jander is a specially sloppy case: He also doesn't have his Vampire bonus feats! ALl in all he's missing a total of 14 feats! I wonder if I should keep him at CL16 or write that off to the general crappyness of CoD.
If I' have to restat him I'd probably make him a Ftr8/Avenger8 (or perhaps Ftr4/Rgr4/Avg8) with Strahd/Vampires as his nemesis. He did enter Ravenloft on a vow of vengeance after all and is later said to hunt all Vampires.

Yeah well. I'm full of ideas for stat builds but rarely finish any of them. But I'll try. Jander will be the most probable project to be completed anytime soon.
Anton Misroi will be in the upcoming Souragne Gazetteer by the Fraternity of Shadows guys. He'll be a Sorcerer perhaps with some Ari levels. I'd peg him at Sor6 when he became a Zombielord. Of course he learned a lot since then. Check out the FoS site for the discussions of the Souragne project.
Could be that Merilee was the child vampire which one of the Weathermay-Foxgrove twins meets in the Van Richten's Guide to the Mists. So perhaps she's not a demilord but rather a Mist-led being now. (Same as the Headless Horseman probably.)
That shator should be quite easy to build from the FF Demondand entry and perhaps adding a few character levels if appropriate and and perhaps SLA or two.
Is there any mention of what type of demon Ebonbane is? (It is a demon bound in a sword iirc, right?)

Given how quickly high-level PC draw the attention of darklords, become their pawns and die in horrible ways, methink the threshold should be lowered to 11+
