#1zombiegleemaxNov 27, 2005 20:22:32 | Will just wondering and if some of you agree will the drangonlance characters (PC) will be above epic levels now since the the gods left for 50 some odd years. Since magic has change some what. Do you believe that some characters will ever get above 20th level besides fist and raist. I have the old first ed book that was the bible for the DL games ( beside the mods ) stated that when a character became 18th level she/he makes some kind of deal with a god, or be banished from the world. Does this rule still hold true for the 3.5 rules! Personally Dalamar should be hirer level then been 17th level, and so on. and many of the other characters. Espicially the longer living races such as the elves. I have been playiing DL since the beginnig but had some what of problem with this rule. Even thow I have found it as a way to keep a world as great os krynn balance. I believe the game should be updated to allow epic level characters and the NPCs should be updated for the change. I hate to look at stats for other Npcs in other world such as mordekainen, Elminster, and symbal and see them very high level and rasitlin in the low 20s, Dalamar not even in the 20s etc. will that is just my rant. |

But I do beleve that's fancy talk for DM's decision. |

I think that many more characters will have a lvl20+ in the new wave of products, but, what i would like to see are Epic character progressions FOR Dragonlance, and feats AND spellcasting, its obvious that there are personalities in DL that are far beyond the power of a lvl 20 character, but the current epic rules are like, made for FR, to fight all the epic monsters and epic culture in there, in DL there are not such things and i think that the current rules doesnt really fit. So.. Sovereign Press? Cam? Xmas? :D |
#5clarkvalentineDec 02, 2005 7:51:00 | Typically there's seldom more than one epic-level character at any given time on Ansalon. Raistlin was clearly the guy for his era - he came into his own when Ariakas bit the dust, ending his reign as Epic Level DL Guy. Other times might have had other heroes (or villians) with epic status. |

I mean Fistandantilus says he could kill him easily, so maybe he is not as powerful as he seems, but in an alternate world short story he does... SPOILERS Throws down all the gods for not being good enough and becomes the one god of the world. I have not actually read the story but that is the gist of it I think. |
#7zombiegleemaxDec 03, 2005 2:39:21 | The short story is by Roger E. Moore in "The Dragons of Chaos" called "There is Another Shore, You Know, Upon the Other Side". |
#8zombiegleemaxDec 03, 2005 9:08:27 | Is the story any good? |
#9zombiegleemaxDec 07, 2005 14:49:11 | The kingpreist stats appear in DLA, he is a 14th level cleric with a wisdom score of 12!!!! I can't racall all stats right now (they were posted here about two years ago). If we update him to 3.5 he might be Cleric 9th/Righteous Zealot 5th and his Wis score boosted to 15...IMO He was punished by the gods beacause he was dangerous not by his spellcasting abilities but for the influence he had on the people of Ansalon and his level of corruption and ambition.... and yes, Fisty could had easly killed a whimp like him. |

#11zombiegleemaxDec 07, 2005 19:10:39 | I would think that he would be higher level than 14 in the 3.5 edition. I would hope so. If not it would be like Tas thought in the Time of the Twins, kingpriest couldnt get him mad enough to throw a book at him much less a mountain. |
#12zombiegleemaxDec 12, 2005 16:26:22 | What's the Miceram??? |
#13zombiegleemaxDec 12, 2005 16:29:42 | What's the Miceram??? The crown that the Kingpriest wears. It is an uber powerful divine magic artifact. |
#14ozyburrfootJan 09, 2006 13:36:30 | Well that and he has the power of a nation at his disposal. Many rulers could be said to be some of the most dangerous people of their times, but probably never went over 10 levels. Its all about who you know, or who you have at your beck and call as the case so warrants. |
#15iltharanosJan 09, 2006 21:20:45 | See the thread here for level breakdowns of the epic level people of Dragonlance. |
