#1 zombiegleemax Dec 26, 2005 23:59:39	Well, I was thinking the other day. In Holy Orders, we got the Austere Devotee class, which is awesome, but it assumes that you're playing a multiclass monk/cleric. Well, not all priests of Majere are monks, and not all monks are clerics. So, I thought of 2 ideas: The Mantis of Majere, and the Rose of Majere classes. THe Mantis would be exclusively a monk PrC, and the Rose a priest PrC. Of course, I'd like to keep them different enough from each other, and the Austere Devotee, that it would be an attractive option to take any combination of the 3. Now, I need some ideas. Of course, the Rose would have +1 spellcasting at every level, and the Mantis would stack for unarmed damage. It would also either stack with monk for unarmed speed and AC bonus, or possibly have its own progression, a la Sacred Fist from Complete Divine. I also think that Rose should stack with cleric for turning, because as it states in AoM, I think, Majere and Chemosh are totally enemies. Can anybody else think of any other cool abilities to give these classes? Maybe extra domains for Rose, and could the Mantis possibly stack with monk for flurry of blows, or does that just seem too powerful? Any comments appreciated. Thanks.
#2 zombiegleemax Dec 27, 2005 21:30:50	I'd say add Ki Strike (holy) on the Mantis, and maybe a feature similar to Favored Enemy that's usable only against undead or Chemosh's servants (like Mina or the special dead guys, can't remember the name just yet).

#4 Soulsong Dec 28, 2005 21:41:43	I had pointed to the following idea on one of the dragonlance.com threads, but no one bit on the idea. It seems that many of the prestige classes in HOotS are based on roles defined by 2 of the Gods Domains: Austere Devotee - Law, Meditation Alluvial Oracle - Insight, Time Bright Warden - Sun, Protection etc... I find the idea of Prestige classes based on other domain combinations intriguing and would have liked HOots to have listed some other ideas with place holder class names. Perhaps these prestige classes could be based on 2 other Majere domains such as: Good, Law Good, Meditation Good, Knowledge Law, Knowledge Meditation, Knowledge
