I've bought a few 2nd ed PDFs form RPGnow.com. I think I only have 2-3 DS books left from 2nd ed days. I never got to run DS adventures back in the day so only have a vague idea what some of them are about. I've bought Forest Maker and Blacksands as well on PDF and are going to use them to mine for ideas rathr than try and run a straight conversion. What adventures could you recommend here that are worth it- ie actually worth running. Basically what 2nd ed adventures are easily adaptable to 3.5 and the post prism pentad timeline? Heres an example form my game which is set around free year 12 PCs templar has been sent by the Sorceror Queen to make contact with lost cty states to the north. Suits me fine as the Templar is starting to look for a way out as she wants to be good aligned and is having doubts about the Oba. Heading north from Draj I've got them running through the Grave Circumstances adventure form Dungeon magazine circa 1995. Basically they're heading towards Kurn when they get diverted into Troll Grave Chasm via the bandit states. On the way there I've planted the seed of a new adventure hook I stole from Forest Maker. They've met an Avangion who has grown a forest near Fort Ral. She tells them to spread word of her achievements and return here once their quest is complete. The "Avangion" is actually Lalali-Puy who wants to progress to the next stage of Dragonhood far from the cresent forest. However thats for a future adventure (I'm still digesting the 2nd ed Forest Maker adventure and need to tweak it). Once they reach Troll Grave Chasm they encounter one of the last Trolls of Athas- a mutant 2 headed freak who is very different to what the Trolls once were. Esturren the Defiler is also here wanting to use the green age ruins to defile all of the chasm to become a Dragon.
