#2zombiegleemaxFeb 20, 2006 0:08:37 | Kudos to the first person to translate that... "Pure language of the plateau" or is it "Ancient Suel" |
#3varthalonFeb 20, 2006 0:53:21 | Arrgh! I had everything except the middle word. |
#4zombiegleemaxFeb 20, 2006 11:08:52 | Googling shar and okalasna was easy enough but hesmali only appeared on some bizarre site about Babel or some such nonsense. Wierd. I was just taking a shot in the dark. I only found okalasna on a couple of sites (all GH related) and shar was on about 2 million. Okalasna was a rival kingdom to Idee (Naerie LGH site) and the name of a plateau on the Tilvanot peninsula (which didn't sound right to me). Shar in reference to GH meant "purity" in Sueloise. Breaking hesmali down didn't help much although "mal" means bad or evil in latin I believe. Maybe "Plateau of Pure Evil"? I give. |
#5zombiegleemaxFeb 21, 2006 16:39:10 | Thumbs through the Scarlet Brotherhood sourcebook...(is that cheating?) :D Shar: Pure/Excellent Hesmali: Rulership Okalasna: Forever. A Scarlet Brotherhood slogan perhaps? |
#6zombiegleemaxFeb 21, 2006 18:42:47 | I declare... SHENANIGANS! |
#7zombiegleemaxFeb 22, 2006 9:40:17 | Well done Woesinger! Thanks for everyone's effort and fun. Shar can also be translated as meaning: Suel. ...Shar Hesmali Okalasna- refering to the everlasting rule of the sueloise. |
