#1ZardnaarFeb 25, 2006 14:21:37 | I'm working on some houserules aimed at converting Dragons to 3.5. IMC they will be NPCs only except for the very weakest ones which might have a slightly playable LA tacked onto them. I'm statting them out as monsters until Athas.org releases final rules on their baby. Even then I may still use these. Heres a rough guideline as I haven't had time yet to full stat out the Dragon (Borys). but heres what I have so far. Very incomplete as I've concentrated on getting the scores about right before I roll hit points, assign feats, skills etc. I'm also going to give Dragons/Avangions 5 bonus meta magic/psychic or item creation feats. The below is a basic guideline so please be understanding. Size Collossal HD:50 Hit points 50d12+750 AC 78 DR 25/Magic and Metal Abilities: Str 54,Dex 10, Con 40,Int 36,Wis 33, Cha 25 BAB+50 Attack: +72 Breath Weapon 40d12 (DC 50) half fire/sand SR/PR 53 Spells/ Psionics: As 30th level Defiler/30th level Psion Challenge Rating 41 I have a table drawn up which details the changes between stage 1-10. His DR isn't really that good because its based on his second edition DR and Dragons in 3.5 have relatively weak DR for creatures of their CR. His charisma is also lower as I want Avangions to have a massive edge here as several of their (mostly defensive) abilities will be based on it. Avangion will also have alot better DR- at stage 10 25/epic and cold iron for example. Looking for feedback on the base stats above. If you feel the Dragon should be CR 50-80+ or whatever start a thread on what CR you think he should be. Hopefully in a week or 2 (I'm busy- addicted to Magic the Gathering atm) i'll have full stats which hopefully will be cool- even if you don't agree with how I've done it. |
