#1ruhl-than_sageFeb 28, 2006 13:27:17 | My players are getting ready to steal one of the smaller silt skimmers from Andropinus's fleet, part of which is currently stationed at Last Port. Assuming they succeed, what do you think Andropinus's reaction would be, how would he go about dealing with them, who would he send? They are in the company of elves in this endevour I might add :D Also, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to what the SK's symbol should be? I was thinking about something to do with a skimmer since his naval power is so important, but maybe there is something better to symbolize him. |

You want to retreive your asset, bring it back without destroying it. You could have a gropu of maenads...but i would suggest sending a ship or so...Armed with extra crew...that or you could have a psion sneak aboard during the time which the crew are resting have them board, and control everyone's mind.... |

Odds are there would be a couple of them stationed off of the peninsula somewhere, perhaps a pair of patrolling boats on each side of the Dragon's Palete, ready to intercept them. ...Or just use an Epic spell and/or equally ludicrous magic and psionics to crush the entire boat into a basketball-sized sphere and/or blow it into a gazillion pieces. But that's no fun. If you want I've got deck plan diagrams and some basic rules for silt ship combat I did back for 2e, based off of Spelljammer rules - haven't updated them to 3e, but the deck plans are the coolest part anyway. I've got one for my interpretation of the Silt Galleons from the PP (...although when I did them I'd forgotten that the PP states they're made of basalt, at least in part...IIRC, dunno why I'd think that otherwise) as well as another for a smaller ship. PM or email me your email address if you'd like 'em. |

I hadn't thought of that one :D |

I'd maybe even add that the vessel looking for them is the Dragon, recently rumored to be in the area, and now heading their way. FYI the Dragon is a silt skimmer detailed here: http://www.wunderhund.com/darksun/miscDragon.htm If you want I've got deck plan diagrams <> of the Silt Galleons from the PP (...although when I did them I'd forgotten that the PP states they're made of basalt, at least in part...IIRC, dunno why I'd think that otherwise) as well as another for a smaller ship. #9jaanosMar 02, 2006 0:03:35 | I'd say he'd let them do it, as he has already planted a mole in thier midst (an NPC or even a PC.... :D ) and once they are underway, the mole either: Sabotages thier mission or Directs them to an island in the sea of silt to unconver and artificat gaurded by powerful magic that somehow interfers with elemental and life-force based magic.... In other words, let them steal the silt skimmer, after all Andropinus KNOWS about it, and is LETTING them do it (for reasons of his own) Just my suggestion ;) |
#10kalthandrixMar 02, 2006 8:17:17 | The Dragon is a sweet ship and would be a cool encounter IMO As for a symbol- how about a lorial crown facing down with a ship in the middle of the opening on a field of ocean blue? |
