#1rhialtoMar 02, 2006 7:17:42 | I've been thinking more about my VR worlds project, and how I could convert the various Mystara maps into a VR world we could walk through and explore. It's time to vote. Which would you prefer: a) Convert them as an exact analogue, maintaining precise consistency with the 8-mile hex map, and the VR world using an internal hex grid. Technically, this will be a nightmare to accomplish. Further, create specific light/heavy forest (and equivalent for cactus/pine/jungle/etc terrain) terrain textures. b) Use an internal square grid, dividing each 8-mile hex into 4 squares. This works out as about 3.something mile squares.
