Kinetic Control/Energy containment

Mar 07, 2006 0:08:57 It never actually says with these two psionic powers what exactly is the amount of energy you can control and dissipate as light (with energy containment, fire, sound, cold, electricity) and kinetic energy that you can hold, but must discharge with kinetic control

Would impose some kind of reasonable limit on these powers. Take for example a PC getting hit a with a ballista bolt/wrecking ball with kinetic control, or someone drowning in lava with energy containment?

If your asking how much can be redirected at an opponent with an attack, I'd say that there is no limit other than the 150 points of damage. It is after all an epic spell.

Hmm, well I guess now it has been defined. I was thinking about the one described in the will and the way, and Energy Containment in the 2E psionics handbook.

Mar 07, 2006 16:00:37 In Athas Online there is a Will and the Way conversion. That Kinetic Control (lv5) can absorb 5 dmg from each attack, up to 50dmg before it blows back in your face.

It also consideres Energy Containment to be equivalent to Energy Adaption.
