#1zombiegleemaxMar 14, 2006 7:48:25 | I have a question. I'm currently participating in a high-powered Planescape game, so I figure it should be useful to know (To at least understand what Sigil natives are talking about OOC) the Cant. Aside from understanding "jink"= "cash" and "berk"= something derogatory, I know nothing about it. Anyone wanna help? EDIT: Minor typos.... Annoying.... |
#2gray_richardsonMar 14, 2006 9:46:09 | Try this link: http://www.mimir.net/cant/cant2.html Or this one: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/4777/cant.htm |

#4wyvern76Mar 14, 2006 11:49:13 | Try this link: http://www.mimir.net/cant/cant2.html Just FYI, the first page (the Mimir one) includes cant made up by Planescape fans. The second page lists the "official" cant. Wyvern |

#6wyvern76Mar 15, 2006 11:57:21 | Understood. The "new" ones, correct? Thanks for the heads up. No, not just the new ones. That only indicates the most recent additions to the list. The majority of the cant on the Mimir page is made up by fans, though there are also mixed in some "official" terms from the glossary at the back of the Planewalker's Handbook which *don't* appear on the Geocities site. Here are links to a few sites that appear to have a *complete* list of the "official" cant without any unofficial additions: http://tds43.tripod.com/lingo.html http://gamebanshee.com/planescapetorment/glossary.php http://www.gamejag.net/planescape/general/cants.html http://www.planetbaldursgate.com/pst/info/glossary/ There are plenty more out there, which you can find by Googling for "anthill brain-box Sigil" (without the quotation marks). I got 124 hits, though I'm sure not all of them are functional and relevant. Wyvern |
