That is how i explain some regions of space can support life and ecosystem, they have minituares portals to the element planes. Other place like the Eternal Dark Nebula is a large rift into the Abyss...the region is avoided by all spacefarers. As for Spelljammer travellers, i can't see why they can't go to the planes. But it would be very hazardous. |

Between the crystal spheres is the flow. Well, what if the flow (and everything else in the universe) is actually contained within it’s own larger crystal sphere, a mega-sphere, but no one has ever ventured to the wall of this sphere. What would lay beyond the mega-sphere? I was thinking of putting the Far Realms out there. Of course, if a group of adventurers ever did find a way to the mega-sphere, and managed to pass beyond it into the Far Realms, they may want to go further. What if they found another mega-sphere, which contained another separate universe. Would that universe have a flow? Would that universe support the normal laws of Spelljamming? (that would be a bummer if the players found a universe like ours, and the ship lost normal gravity and it’s air envelope.) |
