#1pringlesMay 18, 2006 23:16:08 | I'm planing running an adventure in the dragon bowl called Mystery of*the Dragon bowl. In my campaign, the PC have established themselve near Lake pit with Kornugard who has begin restoration of the dragon bowl (its half covered by scrub land now thank to Kornugard magic). They have already discovred an Earth (elemental) temple deep underground and a Water Temple in the lake. These temple are ancient, but not Green age. More like Early Sorcery age era. I,M interested of hearing your story about the Dragon bowl in your campaign, and how you used it. So what are your suggestion, specially for how the dragon bowl was created etc. |

#3pringlesMay 19, 2006 22:33:14 | His not dead yet. We are at the beginning of the Year of the Mountain fury ( Dragon crown year). I want to make the Dragon Bowl scenario just so the Pc can interact well with Kornugard |

#6gilliard_derosanMay 22, 2006 9:10:10 | My players just visited the Dragon's Bowl in last nights session. First, a little backstory. During the City by the Silt Sea portion of the game I have run, they encountered the Tree of Life under Taraskir's tomb. They camped under the tree, and in the morning, they had a branch/staff from the tree, and a fruit. The staff gains 1 charge per day, to a max of ten, and has various healing effects depending on how many charges were spent. Mass Cure Light for 2 charges, Heal for 7 charges, all the way to True Resurrection for 10 charges (but using True Res destroys the staff). The Fruit was a single use complete heal fruit should anyone need to eat it. The group has been lugging both the fruit and the staff for several game sessions now, and decided that they wanted to seek out a Druid to see if they couldn't find someone able to help make sure that the fruit grew into a tree when planted, and also able to defend the tree. So, they heard rumors about the Druid in the Dragon's Bowl, and that is where they went. So, now there is a sapling of a Tree of Life starting to grow not too far from Lake Pit in the Dragon's Bowl. I figured to forego the normal tree creation rules, (since it wasn't being grown from a normal tree from scratch, but from a seed/fruit of a tree of life) and just come down to a random chance that it would grow true. Anyway, that is the Dragon's Bowl story from my game |
#7pringlesMay 22, 2006 12:53:15 | ...ok, but what did you put in your dragon bowl (monster?, obstacle?, background?, descriptions? role-playing? etc etc) |
#8kalthandrixMay 22, 2006 13:03:28 | ...ok, but what did you put in your dragon bowl (monster?, obstacle?, background?, descriptions? role-playing? etc etc) Rice and soy sause! It was a great combination too. :D I am here all week folks! |
#9dunselMay 23, 2006 7:00:48 | My players were in the dragon bowl for a short time. They encountered a nightmare beast and found some strange ruins. They weren't able to stay long. During the battle with the NMB, the druid (my previous posts explain the druid's penchant for blasting everything) used an area effect fire spell and caught the brush and grass on fire. The bowl's druid took offense and attacked him and, when the party intervened, them as well. They had to run away since they couldn't see the druid to retaliate. They were there all of 3 game hours. |

#11kalthandrixMay 23, 2006 12:31:31 | brun01 and I are currently in talks about a new project in the area, but it will be something that happens after the Appendix II is out. But I do have to say that it will be cool. |
#12delerakMay 24, 2006 10:52:34 | On my MUD, I am currently re-building Dragons Bowel and Lake Pit. I am the builder for Urik and the surrounding areas. I haven't really had many ideas for it. But I plan to simply have it be a fatal fall if someone dares to jump in, so they will require to use magic to get to the bottom. I will probably just build Lake Pit within Dragons Bowel, and have it names Lake Pit, with the large lake in there. I'm not sure if I will have Urik control the water source or make it an area that is independent of any outside city grasp. Any ideas are welcome, for I am hardly a Darksun savant at all the information on it. Please e-mail me with any ideas. Also I am re-building and am going to code the black, grey and hollow and need some information on it. Since my understanding of it is sketchy at best. -D |
