The plane was dominated by a massive clockwork tower. Long story, short, I grabbed a random modron on the way out, and dragged him back to the Prime. I have to keep an eye on him of course, because he keeps trying to run off. Luckily for me, he moves slowly, is easily recognized, and can't plane shift. Anyway... His original job was to repair damaged gears in the previously mentioned clockwork tower. I'm not sure what I want him to do yet, but it'd be nice if I could give him orders instead of just running around after him all the time. Is there anyway to do this without having to risk taking to Regulus? |

Of course, the duodrone probably won't do as you say, either, so you will need a tridrone to tell _it_ to tell the monodrone to do what you want it to do. Of course, the tridrone probably won't take orders from you either, so... What you basically need to do is to go on a series of daring raids into Mechanus to kidnap one each of every Modron caste, until you find one that can send orders down the line to get your monodrone to do as you tell it to. This could prove troublesome for some of the higher hierarch Modrons, let alone Primus... But... wouldn't it be neat if you succeeded?! :P |

Get a wizard/sorcerer/cleric or passes for a spell caster in your party to research and create a charm Modron spell and have it casted on said monodrone have the caster order it to obey you. Oh one caveat: Sooner or later "somebody" is going come looking for said Modron... |

Well, Monodrones arent particularly smart, what if you just dressed up like a duodrone and command him like that? |

Stop stealing Modrons and give it back! ;) :D Mayhap you could get a magic item that permanently puts the poor Modron under some kind of Charm Monster spell? ...that Demi-Plane of Time sounds great. |
#7lord_karsusAug 09, 2006 23:02:06 | Well, Monodrones arent particularly smart, what if you just dressed up like a duodrone and command him like that? -Something tells me that it isn't that simple. I'm sure there's some kind of Modron "Hive-Mind" going on... |
#8gladiAug 13, 2006 20:02:31 | Well, Monodrones arent particularly smart, what if you just dressed up like a duodrone and command him like that? Bright day But it wouldn't detect your modron energy... That said with finite numbers of modrons I doubt they take kindly to kidnapping. Get yourself a formian. |
