#1stanlesJun 22, 2006 20:03:23 | without wanting to big note things too much I just thought that I'd point that this coming Tuesday will be ten years of the Vaults of Pandius.* Which is both kind of cool, and kind of scary too. *not that it was called the Vaults of Pandius for all of that time but you get the idea. |
#2stanlesJun 22, 2006 20:04:50 | Don't expect anything too particular for the update though - those plans went south too, but more of the same isn't too bad is it? Unless of course this weekend sees me being really super productive and resurrecting those plans, but given that it's summer here and that would mean spending a lot of time inside at a computer it's not looking good. |
#3stanlesJun 22, 2006 20:09:24 | the first full month of being at pandius.com, June 2005, saw the Vaults use 916 MB of bandwidth. That has risen each month to be 5.7 GB in May 2006. |
#4stanlesJun 22, 2006 20:19:52 | What has become the Vaults of Pandius started out as merely a group of links a friend hosted for me on a page he might not have been hosting totally legally for me on the ... website where his dad worked. Not that I think that that was the date that I use for my starting date ... or maybe it is. Hey ten years is a long time. |
#5stanlesJun 22, 2006 20:27:49 | During November 2005 the Vaults of Pandius received 17 hits from PDA/Phone browsers. |
#6HuginJun 22, 2006 20:50:07 | That is great stuff! Congrats on the decade milestone! I've been following the number of hits for a little while now awaiting the big 300,000 point. You're doing something special there Shawn! (Any more of those facts; they're really interesting). |
#7zombiegleemaxJun 23, 2006 2:26:29 | Congratulations Shawn and thanks for your yeomanly work! While my involvement with Mystara has waxed and waned through the years as I moved around the country, I would still once in a while go look around to see what was new at the Vaults. I felt happy knowing that it was still around. I can vaguely remember the giddy feeling I felt when I first discovered Shawn's site back around 1998. I'm also grateful to the staff (wasn't it Jim Butler?) at WotC who took the action of giving an official nod the Vaults. Shane |
#8morphius_shadowleafJun 25, 2006 4:12:12 | Excellent job keeping it all together Shawn. I look forward to the next 10. |
#9the_stalkerJun 25, 2006 6:54:05 | Is it ten years already? Gee, now I feel really old Anyway, congratulations to all of us and especially to Shawn - that the site is still alive and kicking is a clear signal that the attempt to keep Mystara alive has been successful. We should do something special to celebrate - isn't that what you do at anniversaries? |
#10zombiegleemaxJun 25, 2006 9:21:57 | Grats on the vaults shawn, it's great stuff. I have depended on this site many a times. --- Gilles Leblanc. |
#11thorfJun 27, 2006 10:45:43 | I think this speaks for itself. (Apologies if I left anyone out. If anyone still has a message for Shawn, please post it here directly.) Thorf |
#12hihamaJun 27, 2006 12:05:45 | I still remember what a revelation it was in the early 90s finding with gopher that there are mailing-list about Mystara and pages where people have collect their stuff about gaming. It really gave me a new perspective about my campaigns. Then at some point I found Vaults of Pandius and it has been a real gold mine ever since. Keep the torch burning. Harri |
#13stanlesJun 27, 2006 18:32:58 | thanks everyone for the kind words, that's really great. And thanks for that Thorf, that's awesome mate. Now excuse me whilst I work on putting up an actual update today. |

#16havardJun 28, 2006 12:38:35 | Shawn, you have been doing a wonderful job keeping pandius a high quality website all this time. Without your effort, the Mystara community would have been missing a unique resource which we now have at our disposal. I lift my mead horn and drink to another 10 years for the Vaults! HÃ¥vard |
#17vgeisz_dupJun 30, 2006 23:16:29 | Shawn, Keep up the great work. If it werent for you We wouldn't be able to to the work we are doing to try and bring Mystara to 3.5. Keep it up and we'll keep trying to add to it Vern :D |
#18olddawgJul 01, 2006 3:25:30 | Congratulations on the 10 years. If it weren't for the Vaults, I would never have wandered back to Mystara (checking the watch, maybe that wasn't a good thing :P ) -OldDawg |
#19nemarsdeJul 10, 2006 6:06:19 | Congratulations to the Vaults of Pandius, truly the stuff that dreams are made of, the fantasy world of Mystara still survives, loved and undiminished. Congratulations belong to all Mystara fans then, and thanks to Shawn who gave them a nexus. |
#20HuginJul 18, 2006 22:23:08 | That is great stuff! Congrats on the decade milestone! I've been following the number of hits for a little while now awaiting the big 300,000 point. You're doing something special there Shawn! (Any more of those facts; they're really interesting). At last look, the Vaults have surpassed the 300,000 hit mark! (actually by 210). Next milestone - 1/2 million!!! :D |
