Savage Tide adventure path

Aug 06, 2006 19:30:47 There is a preview of the new Savage Tide adventure path in the new issue of Dungeon magazine, number 138. It seems like it might be interesting, although unfortunately so far there doesn't necessarily look like a lot more Mystara relevance revealed in the preview - hopefully we'll be able to make some more out of it once we see it.

I won't give any spoilers myself quite yet although reading the preview more ideas come for being able to convert it more properly into a true Mystaran adventure. One thing though, it does abyssal type creatures (devils, demons and whatever not) quite heavily in the later parts - once it leaves the Isle of Dread that seems to be the main focus - so the recent article here on Mystaran devils might be quite timely.

The first part of the path also comes with a map of Sasserine, where the path starts - Specularum/Mirros or Thyatis City anyone? Apparently in the first part the main protagonist is a member of some thieves guild possibly called the Iron Ring or the Veiled Society or something ... or at least they soon will be

Just a note- that second thread is actually about converting the most recent AP, "Age of Worms," to Mystara. For some reason, it was started in the Savage Tide forum (probably because of the ST/IoD ties), and remained there, even though it's about AoW.

It is rather jumbled, some parts are about 'Age of Worms' and other parts are about 'Savage Tide'. Hopefully the thread will kick off again when the Savage Tide starts hitting the shelves.
