#2kalthandrixAug 13, 2006 15:15:23 | Have you? |
#3zombiegleemaxAug 15, 2006 20:28:33 | No Stats but a little History to bring some Order to the Chaos, or so I thought..... The Wanderer (Troy Dennigs) The Wanderer (Simon Hawkes) The Wanderer (Revised Campaign) the 3 are the Chaos I mean XD. Anyway the Wanderer should stay a Mystery, he is in Essence Troy Dennigs alter self, Wandering Athas an shaping it. ./lurkingmodeon |
#4thebraxAug 16, 2006 2:34:35 | No, but I've tried to put together his photo album. :D |
#5zombiegleemaxAug 16, 2006 2:38:04 | I was just curious what back ground info was known. When it comes to Dark Sun I know the folks on this board are far greater sages than I. But I will write him up if I can get a gist. |
#6phaaf_glienAug 16, 2006 3:13:09 | I myself am rather for Simon Hawke's version, but only as far as the original 1st box Wanderer's Journal is reconcilable to the Tribe of One's elven avangion. For me the Wanderer's Journal was by far the finest game publication for Dark Sun, and really forms much of the essence for the entire setting, especially in terms of flavor. The Wanderer himself was very enigmatic, and I feel that any write-up should favor the flavor of the original Journal. The 2nd box Wanderer's Chronicle was far inferior to the Journal, both in flavor and presentation. The Wanderer of the Chronicle should, in my view, not really be taken into much account at all concerning any write-up you undertake. As for Hawke, I rather enjoyed the series, despite the frequent campaign element mistakes he makes. I would have to dwell on it for a time, but I think at some elements of Hawke's Wanderer should be taken into account for canon. I would be interested to see what you came up with however, kingcromag. |
#7zombiegleemaxAug 16, 2006 3:17:22 | In 2e, I made the Wanderer an earth elemental advanced being, at the lower levels (22nd-level clerical elemental advanced being). I imagine I'll convert him eventually to 3.5 one of these days... --...assuming athas.org eventually provides me with new clerical advanced being stats! NB |
#8PennarinAug 16, 2006 9:29:04 | Anyway the Wanderer should stay a Mystery, he is in Essence Troy Dennigs alter self, Wandering Athas an shaping it. Aside from the overuse of capitals, I like the wanderer-as-Denning idea. |

#11PennarinAug 16, 2006 20:01:32 | LOL Forgive me Pennarin, it's been three years since I wrote something in this language, I need some practice. Isn't it german for which every word starts with a capital letter? I remember hearing something about a language that does that... |

#13jon_oracle_of_athasAug 17, 2006 1:30:59 | Only nouns start with a capital letter in German. |

#16thebraxAug 17, 2006 12:13:10 | The Eldaarish/Kurnan written language is a lot like German in that they can stuff whole sentences and paragraphs into a single word :D |
