#2zombiegleemaxAug 16, 2006 22:07:12 | Where can I find stats for aurak, baaz, bozak, kapak, and sivak? Dragonlance Campaign Setting pg. 215-222 |
#3wolffenjugend_dupAug 17, 2006 5:42:28 | DOH! I saw the stats for the two draconians as PCs earlier in the book and I forgot to check the back! Thanks. |
#4sylianAug 17, 2006 8:26:52 | If you want to play a bozak, take a look at this. http://www.dragonlance.com/features/bonus/10008.aspx |
#5wolffenjugend_dupAug 17, 2006 19:41:46 | Is that official? Because it makes it clear that SR increases with class levels; something not obvious in the DLCS. The bonus Run feat also clears up the discrepancy in the DLCS where they're listed as having 3 when they should only have 2. I also noticed scent and blindsense have disappeared. They should probably specify if Inspired by Dragons only works with true dragons or not; there are many creatures with the Dragon type that probably shouldn't grant the bonus. |
#6wolf72Aug 18, 2006 17:51:43 | do kapak pc's get a +8 to hide (or was it move silent) like the version in the back of the book? |
#7sylianAug 19, 2006 5:50:24 | wolf, I'd say it's official. It is on the official site and it's written by Jamie Chambers. It's possible that he made mistakes, though. I don't know about the +8 to move silently. |
#8cam_banksAug 19, 2006 9:07:28 | Is that official? Because it makes it clear that SR increases with class levels; something not obvious in the DLCS. Yes, SR increases with class levels. Baaz get 8 + class level, kapaks 11 + class level, bozaks 14 + class level, sivaks 16 + class level, and auraks 20 + class level. The bonus Run feat also clears up the discrepancy in the DLCS where they're listed as having 3 when they should only have 2. Yep. It's their wings that helps them accomplish this. I also noticed scent and blindsense have disappeared. They are creatures with the dragon type, not actual dragons. As such, they have immunities to paralysis and sleep, darkvision 60 ft and low-light vision, but no blindsense or scent (which true dragons get). They should probably specify if Inspired by Dragons only works with true dragons or not; there are many creatures with the Dragon type that probably shouldn't grant the bonus. It only works with true dragons (and only evil ones). Noble draconians are inspired by good dragons. Cheers, Cam |
#9wolf72Aug 19, 2006 10:25:01 | wolf, I'd say it's official. It is on the official site and it's written by Jamie Chambers. It's possible that he made mistakes, though. have book this time, hold on ... (DLCS) pg 220 gives Kapak's a +8 to move silent, that doesn't appear on pp. 36-37 for the PC version. (not that it's come up, just something I noticed) ... +8 is a pretty heavy bonus and I wanted to know which one is right |
#10wolffenjugend_dupAug 19, 2006 13:23:22 | What is the favoured class for the sivak? I'm assuming fighter. One of the other draconians might be missing that info as well...? |
#11cam_banksAug 19, 2006 13:27:23 | What is the favoured class for the sivak? I'm assuming fighter. One of the other draconians might be missing that info as well...? Yes, fighter's the favored class for sivaks and baaz. Rogue is favored for kapaks. Sorcerer is favored for bozaks and auraks. The sivak entry in the DLCS is missing a "Sivak Characters" section, which is where you'd find out what the favored class is, and what most high-level sivaks are (hint: most high-level sivaks are fighters). Cheers, Cam |
#12cam_banksAug 19, 2006 13:34:36 | pg 220 gives Kapak's a +8 to move silent, that doesn't appear on pp. 36-37 for the PC version. The +8 Move Silently skill bonus is correct. It should be included as part of the player character version, but it was probably left out. If you see kapak stats in a product that don't seem to have factored this into the Move Silently skill bonus, you should add it in. Cheers, Cam |
#13wolffenjugend_dupAug 19, 2006 22:52:33 | Okay, a couple other minor things: 1) Gallop (bonus Run feat) applies to baaz, bozaks, and kapaks but not auraks or sivaks, correct? 2) Aurak breath weapon DC missing relevant ability score modifier (Int/Cha?). 3) Bozak death throes DC missing relevant ability score modifier and can't get DC 14 with listed ability scores... 4) Bozaks have 4 skill points too many... 5) Kapak poison DC missing relevant ability score modifier (Con?). 6) Sivak death throes DC missing relevant ability score modifier and can't get DC 17 with listed ability scores... 7) Sivaks missing 6 skill points... Sorry for all the questions, but these have been bugging me for a while. |
#14wolf72Aug 20, 2006 21:32:42 | Okay, a couple other minor things: incorrect, all draconians should get run as a bonus feat (I read that somewhere ... I think) 2) Aurak breath weapon DC missing relevant ability score modifier (Int/Cha?). Con? ... I thought it was based off of their con score 3) Bozak death throes DC missing relevant ability score modifier and can't get DC 14 with listed ability scores... no idea ... 4) Bozaks have 4 skill points too many... synergy bonuses? 5 ranks of intimidate will give +2 to bluff, as will 5 ranks of diplomacy ... so the the bozak could have not ranks in bluff (+4 syn bonuses, +1 ability=5) 5) Kapak poison DC missing relevant ability score modifier (Con?). no idea ... 7) Sivaks missing 6 skill points... ACP? ... maybe not it would affect both climb and jump Sorry for all the questions, but these have been bugging me for a while. hope I helped some, wolf |

#17cam_banksAug 25, 2006 7:31:50 | Will draconians be in the Races of Krynn book? Or the revised Bestiary? We've got a book called Dragons of Krynn slated for next year that should take care of all draconian-related issues. Cheers, Cam |
