#1 Silverblade_The_Enchanter Sep 10, 2006 3:28:40	ok form the Athas.org rules, a 3rd level half giant character is effectively 0-character class levels, but 2d8 hit dice for giant. But how do you work out feats? For example, a campaign starts with 3rd level folk, is he a 3rd level character (and thus 2 feats) or only 2 as he's only got 2 HD? *scratches head* (not very used to running +1 ECL or more or characters with racial hit dice, pardon my ignorance) *EDIT* checking Savage Species suggets feats are always based off total hit dice, character elvels or monstrous
#2 jon_oracle_of_athas Sep 10, 2006 3:30:59	Feats and ability score increases are granted by CL, not ECL. CL = Racial Hit Dice + Class levels. So your half-giant would get one feat for its first HD.
