It pains my heart to see that there haven't been any
posts for 30 days here in the Alternity section.

I suppose most of us have already abandoned ship...

I couldn't help but write something here. If anybody
should read this and on the off chance is living in
Seoul... let's play some Alternity.

Right.

Try these sites instead.

They are the “official” fan sites and get a decent amount (all right some get a large amount) of traffic.

Alternity.net:
http://alternityrpg.net/

Tequilastarrise.net (Star*Drive):
http://www.tequilastarrise.net/

Of course, those are better than the one I named. - DF is the biggest oldschool community that I know of, so there it would have been more probable to find Alternity fans than here, or so I thought.

I saw a thing on A.net where they had there 100th game running there. So that's probably the place to start.

I have... kinda.

With Alternity and d20 Modern sharing many design similarities (and many designers, for that matter), and many of the techie bits being converted into d20 terms wholesale, I'm still convinced that with a strong skill-based chargen system could make d20 Modern into an Alternity game.

It's fun to write for, anyhow... ^^;

Alternity is far from dead. As mentioned there is A.net where most of the action takes place nowdays along with forum games, rules discussions and e-zines. You would be surprised at the support Alternity has from its fanbase, with some homemade supplements rivaling that of professional products.

Here is link to a game I have been runing on Anet forums for 2 years an have finished it recentlyhttp://alternityrpg.net/onlineforums/index.php?showforum=61

If you are more into StarDrive campaign I also recommend tequilastarrise.net

I'd have to agree with everyone else who replied so far. Alternity is hardly disappearing. It recently enjoyed one its all-time biggest comebacks, in fact. We held an Alternity Game Day event last March 3rd...and will probably do so again this year. Most of the events took place at www.alternity.net...including a special chat session with JD Wiker, the author of Alternity titles such Mindwalking: A Guide to Psionics and Dark.Matter's The Final Church. The month following that, we had another chat session with the former Brand Manager, Jim Butler. We're hoping to bring in Rich Baker for the next one.

In the meantime, there's a plethora of online games in the forums at A.net. You can also find a ton of cool discussions on the Star*Drive campaign setting over at www.tequilastarrise.net. If you've got an interest in anything Alternity, there are plenty of resources to be had at those two fansites. You don't see as much traffic through Wizards forums because most of the action moved to the fansites following the line cancellation. Make sure you check them out.

My two-cents,
