#1zombiegleemaxNov 11, 2006 18:52:10 | Hi New here. Realise this is a long shot but I'm starting a new mystara game tomorrow (in about 12 hours) with virgin players and really want to introduce a sense of the background world from the get go. I've prepared partially filled hex maps for the areas covered in this outing with a view to getting the players interested in mapping their new world. What I totally forgot was to create a basic map of the known world as the PCs might know it. Something basic with the nations, rough boundaries, in an 'in game' style, spanning from Glantri to Thyatis. Had a look around online and found some incredibly cool and detailed known world maps (thorf.co.uk ...wow!) but nothing that would easily work as a quick player handout. Any help appreciated. V |

I hope it's to your taste. Note: I used it as an in-game merchant's map, i.e. maps that merchants use to record notes on while travelling. You'll notice it has no borders on it. When the PCs asked the vendor why he replied, "borders tend to move around from time to time; cities, roads, and mountians less so". |
