#1dragan01Nov 15, 2006 15:15:50 | The Predecessors Their power was unlimited, their dominance undisputed. They have mastered the crafts one can only dreame of and tapped into the secrets of life and death, creation and destruction. They had it all. Dtarns that burn brightly on the nights skies could have been theirs. And then they were gone. Were gods angry or perhaps envious of them? To remove them from the face of Orbora? Or have they fled from something terrible their crafts have unleashed? They have seeded the lands with dead portals. Whoever unlocks them will most probably unlock the secrets of predecessors disappearance. Or Orboras doom. And then there are Construct Clockworks and the Undying Skincrafters. The legacy of Predecessors and witness to their power and endless pool of knowledge. Skinweavers The dead. Eternal. Fleshweavers. Skincrafters. Those who know all, yet know nothing. What exactly are they and how they were created and from whom, it is unknow even to them, but it is unlife that runs through their veins, death incarnate, the shadowstuff. Though brought to this world by the ancients, they know almost nothing of them. Long ago, they have took that knowlege from themselves and hid it. Some say far away, and yet at their fingertips. It is believed that should that knowedge ever be reclaimed, the world will come to its end. Construct Clockworks The Great Brass Wheel spins above the Volcanus Infernis, the iron melts, and the Forge builds the Clockwork Constructs. To what purpose, it is unknown, but out they come, everyone different, but the same. They can speak and learn like all of us, and they set forth to find their purpose. Some find it in battle, for their bodies are as durable and as lasting as those of Skinweavers, others in silent contempletation and skill of Word. The meek shall not inherit the Orbora... Predecessors were gone but from the fartest reaches of the land and deepest bowels of the earth emerged new powers. What was left of Orbora when Predecessors vanished was anything but friendly lands. Thick poisonous mists covered the wastelands, dark swamps have grew dangerous new breeds and mountains were rapturing with red hot lava, sending tremors that could be felt throughout the planet. And so, the emergants were forced to fight a savage fight for survival among the bleak lands. There was no place for weakness. There was no timy for pity. Pillars of new world were build on brutality and dark magicks. Savage Scorn. Scheming Ophidians. Mercenary Thrall. Enigmatic Wraithbred. Dreaded Driders. They built cities on their own blood and suffering-small kingdoms ruled by guilds and intrests of its citizens. And while they lived under the fold of the cities, no one was fooling himself. It was every being for himself |
