#1 jon_oracle_of_athas Nov 25, 2006 10:23:19	We are currently looking for a linguistic proofreader for our athasian equipment project at athas.org. We need someone with flawless English and plenty of time on their hands. Volunteers can post in this thread or e-mail [email]jon@athas.org[/email]. Once the linguistic aspects have been proofread and touched up, we will be looking for playtesters and game mechanic proofreaders.

But however, seeing you *are* volunteering, I am sure I can find some use for you. For starters, how about you provide some details about the project, such as how many pages the working document occupies (excluding PoP)?

#5 dirk00001 Nov 25, 2006 14:08:53	I volunteer - I tend to ramble semi-coherently on the boards here, but I had some stuff published back when I was still in High School so I think I'm qualified to proof read. Plus I've already done some work with Pen and Meth on the project, so I have a base idea as to what's going on as well. On the playtesting part, I'm already using the new poison list in my game so I'm ahead of the game there. Anything else that goes into the doc I'll definitely include in my game as well, so I can somewhat combine the proofreading and testing into one.

Good job at that! :D There were times when that document became unreadable for me as well, not necessarily because of the tracked changes but because, occasionally when I added in a couple new lines, Word got confused and decided to push random paragraphs onto the next page, completely out of order with the rest of the text...at one point in time I think I re-edited the same section twice because Word had decided that I would appreciate having both an edited as well as un-edited copy of the same paragraph in existence. Edit: Speaking of unreadable...how's that for a run-on sentence?

#43 j0lt Jan 02, 2007 0:55:34	I just downloaded the Dark Sun 3 PDF, there's an error in the Weapons section. In the description for the Impaler, the word parallel should be changed to perpendicular.
