#1zombiegleemaxDec 03, 2006 0:35:57 | Heya. Man, it's been awhile since I've posted on these boards. Well, I'm DMing a new DL campaign, one where the rule is that we play only DL specific races. Well, one player wanted to play a tayfolk, but couldn't figure out which kind to be, or what happened to his twin. So, we decided that, by some magical process, he is a Tayling and Taylang combined! In most ways, he has all the strengths and weaknesses of both, but not always. Here are the stats for it, but I need help coming up with an appropriate level adjustment. It's no big deal if it's high, we're playing level 8 characters. Well, here they are. 2d8 monstrous humanoid hit dice (Class skills Climb, Intimidate, Spot, Survival, Listen, Concentration) Str +4, Dex +2, Int -2, Wis +2, Cha -2 Tayfolk tratits (and the Combat Synergy is always active) Medium Size The Hulking Brute feat for free +4 natural armor +2 to Concentration, Spot, Intimidate, and Survival SR equal to 7+level Rage 1/day Spell-like abilities, as a Tayling He does not get Spell Rage at all, because obviously his twin can't die. LA ? So, I need advice on the LA. I've been thinking, and I think +3 at the most, but maybe even +2 will work. We're still a ways away from playing this campaign, but I need to set things in stone relatively soon, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. PS: If anyone is wondering what this wierd monstrosity is called, it's one of the following, we haven't quite decided: Tayliang, Taylinglang, or just plain Tay. PPS: Yes, I know that technically, the Hulking Brute feat is Minotaur and Half-Ogre only, but it fits here. The player didn't want to be Large sized, so Hulking Brute represents his big-ality. |
