I was going over the old issues of Dragon and was wondering if anyone has converted the Rakasta and Lupin articals from Bruce Heard. They are written in 2nd edition format. I was wondering if anyone converted all the different species to ODnD format?

The closest I got was making a Small version of the lupin for a couple of the subraces in the article, and some preliminary attempts at racial feats to cover some of the other subrace abilities.

I'm not a fan of subraces at all, so I avoided trying to do a strict conversion in that sense.

Well, "racial feats" and "small" would not apply to OD&D :P

Anyway, I think most subraces could be applied to OD&D without much change -- just ignore elements that are not needed, such as class limits.

Err... yeah, I guess I should have actually, you know, read Multizar's post first. :p

Yeah. Some of the abilities would need some minor changes- the Non-Weapon Proficiencies to the appropriate skills, etc.

Of course, but given the flexibility of the OD&D skill system, there should be no problems there (at most, one might need to add a new skill).
