Why is a Crystal Sphere called with his name?
Why Krinnspace and not Zivilyspace?
Why Realmspace and not Anadiaspace?
Why Greyspace and not Ligaspace?
I have an answer to there question:
Humans are native of earth worlds, not of wildspace. That is obvious. There is not an human homeworld, since gods (powers) created humans in many and many Crystal Spheres. That's becouse Powers created first the "human idea" or "human template" in the Outer Planes. It was not an human, but only the idea of a human being.
With that idea in mind, gods created humans on many different worlds.
But each god created a slightly different human subrace. Becouse each god has his own tastes about comeliness, about folklore etc etc.
After that, many humans discovered Spelljamming magic, ignoring other humans were doing the same.
So,from Toril a group of Shou humans (and, maybe, some spirit folk and hengeyokai too) leaved to wildspace. A strong human migration allowed the Crystal Sphere to be called "Realmspace".
In the same way, in my own Mystaraspace, the human native subrace is the Alphatian one. Alphatians are great magic-users.
One exception is Krinn, in Krinnspace (obviously!).
The main origina race here is... Krinnish Tinker Gnomes, definitely non an human race!
So, I put, Cristal Spheres are called after a major race migration in space.
Shou Lung Humans in Realmspace.
Gnomes from Krinnspace.
Alphatians from Mystarespace...
What about Greyhawk?
Do you know some human subrace from Greyhawk...
