#1netherekJan 29, 2007 19:27:32 | I am considering picking up Tome of Battle and was curious if anyone has though of adapting its features to Dark Sun. Along the same lines has anyone adapted other d20 sources to DS and how did that work out? |
#2OninotakiJan 29, 2007 21:31:15 | I use all sorts of the new 3.5 expansion classes. -I use incarnum in all its sources as lifeshaping. I have a prestige class that lets high level incarnum users create life shaped creatures. -I use Shadow Magic from ToM to represent wizards that tap into the black. -I use Binding also from ToM to represent the wizards who got power from the cerelean(sp) storm(I have a couple of home made vestiges for tithian, rajaat, kalak, and a couple other athas specific entities) -I only use one class from the ToB and that is the swordsage, I also tweaked them so that they have access to all the styles and are the favored class of myconids. Fluff wise they are an ancient tradition that was some of Rajaats inspiration for researching and invinting magic. - I also use DuskBlades from PHB2 which I feel probably most accuratly represent the majority of athasian preservers and defilers, lots of low to med level spells and mixed with good combat skill for when they need to defend themselves but spell casting isnt really a wise idea. I also use modified dragon shamens as templars and a class that is a mix of warlock and dragonfire adept to represent the children of the champions of rajaat. |
#3zombiegleemaxJan 30, 2007 7:38:13 | I use monks, to represent the monastic tradition of Nibenay. I use warlocks to represent breeding experiments by the sorcerer-kings. I use divine minds to represent psychics tied into the sorcerer-kings (they're officially members of the templarate). I use ardents to represent psionic members of the Nibenese monastic tradition. I use meldshaping, also, to represent lifeshaping, at its most basic. --the list goes on and on about what I'm willing to adapt to Dark Sun NB |
