Feb 09, 2007 21:27:26 When was Anti-Liga destroyed, and by what? This site claims it was illithids about 8000 years ago; is this "official?"

Could Edill have been the source of the Dragon Overlords that infested Krynn a few years back?

Are there any celestial bodies in Krynnspace named for Habbukuk or Branchala?

Feb 10, 2007 10:06:08 I'd treat Anti-Liga as myth. Outside of a couple of paragraphs in Greyspace, it is not mentioned anywhere in Greyhawk sources. The claim that illithids destroyed it 8,000 years ago is certainly not official that I'm aware of, and is simply someone's interpretation of the entry in Greyspace.

Edill is not likely the source of the Krynnish Dragon Overlords; the Overlords are evil dragons, from a world not unlike Krynn, while the vast (99%) majority of Edill dragons are good (Silver) dragons.

Habbukuk has a moon of Zivilyn named for him (a farmer's paradise) but nothing was named for Branchala.

No, my site's info on Anti-Liga is not from official sources. The idea of Anti-Liga has only be presented as myth in published materials. There are no references that say it existed for certain, nor any suggestions on how or when its destruction may have been accomplished.

In my own campaign, there is only one item that could accomplish such a feat, so my Codex-tainted mind placed the event into a suitable position in my own timeline that meshed well with the history I was writing for the Codex of the Infinite Planes (which is also available on my website). My idea also meshed well with other myths and legends from a variety of sources about the illithids' obsession, so I ran with it.

Your mileage may vary.

Feb 12, 2007 1:09:27 Thanks for the help. I was going to use the Anti-Liga story as evidence for ancient illithid activity on Oerth, but thought I'd better confirm it first.

I thought the Overlords might be refugees from Edill - it seemed like the many good dragons would be a strong impetus for evil dragons to flee elsewhere when they had the chance.
