But say a character started off as a wizard and went a few levels, to be able to cast only 2nd level spells, and the took levels in cleric, say of Gilean for the PRC in the Holy Orders of the Stars book. Is this a possability? |

But say a character started off as a wizard and went a few levels, to be able to cast only 2nd level spells, and the took levels in cleric, say of Gilean for the PRC in the Holy Orders of the Stars book. Is this a possability? It's the devotion to the gods of the moons, as a Wizard of the Orders, that rules out mixing wizard with cleric. A renegade mage or a mage who hasn't taken the Test is free to take levels in both classes. Remember, the two rules are: 1. You may not take levels in both an ambient spellcasting class and a focused spellcasting class; and 2. You may not have more than one divine patron grant you spellcasting, supernatural, or spell-like abilities. Thus, no druid/mystic (breaks the 1st rule), no druid of Chislev/cleric of Sirrion (breaks 2nd rule), and no Red Robe mage/cleric of Gilean (breaks 2nd rule). Cheers, Cam |
