A quick question. In my recent readings of religion of Greyhawk, I found in several places that St. Cuthbert has the alignment listed either as LN or LN (LG) or LG (LN). What does all that mean exactly? That he and his followers are always lawful yet adhere to good more than neutrality?

It means his followers are evenly divided between LG and LN characters. In his three orders, the Stars are lawful neutral, the Billets are lawful good, and the Chapeaux are evenly divided between the two.

It means the god himself is midway between LG and LN alignment - that is, the spot on the alignment wheel corresponding to the plane of Arcadia. He appreciates both Law and Good, but if forced to choose between doing the lawful thing and doing the good thing he'd choose Law. St. Cuthbert hates evil, but is more concerned with law and order, with converting the uninformed and preventing backsliding among the faithful.

LN (LG) would be Lawful Neutral with lawful good tendencies

It would be nice to see some of the distinctions between the orders of people who follow St. Cuthburt as they were in 1st edition.

I like Cuthbert. I like Pholtus better though.

And I like burning those crazy followers of Pholtus...

Sorry, but a so-called "hero" in shining armor riding forth on a white steed to "save the dragon and slay the virgin" is annoying enough. If said "hero" also starts preaching about one of those "I´m the real god, all others are frauds"-maniacs, I get REALLY irritated...

Hmmm, Pholtus, one true good warrior god, Suel, state religion of the Pale....

Hey, what's the RPGA trying to say about Utahns?:D

Since the Pale is Nevada and Southern California, and Utah is part of Nyrond, I guess they are saying the people of Utah are lawful types who don't burn dissenters at the stake.

Also, Pholtus is an Oeridian deity, not a Suloise deity.

Same thing.
